Impact Bay Area Seeks Applicants to become Part-Time "Padded Assailant" Full-Force Self-Defense Instructors
IMPACT Bay Area is a not-for-profit organization promoting healing and preventing violence by teaching full-force self-defense, personal safety and empowerment training to people of all abilities throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
Our courses focus on teaching the critical emotional and physical skills necessary to stay safe from physical, sexual and emotional violence from strangers, acquaintances and relationship partners.
All classes are provided in a safe, supportive environment creating opportunities for students to process and heal from past abuse or assault. IMPACT Bay Area services are delivered primarily to women and girls (some men-only and co-ed classes) in schools, not-for-profit organizations and for-profit businesses.
Becoming an Impact Self-Defense Instructor is demanding emotionally and physically, and is very rewarding for those with a passion to make a positive change in our society. An understanding of, or willingness to learn about, womens issues and violence against women is a must.
