BASICS CLASSES
Adult Basics
At the core of Impact's Adult program is our Basics Course. This is a 20+ hour course that covers situational awareness,
verbal and emotional boundary setting, and effective physical self-defense. In this course we focus on attacks by a single,
unarmed assailant - the most common form of attack that women face. We also explore issues related to fear and violence
against women in society, and students have an opportunity to "re-write the past" in a customized scenario.
The Adult Basics Course is recommended for women 16 and up, or those who have a history of assault. If you can,
we recommend that you attend one of our public celebrations held at the end of each Basics Course before you register.
Cost: $495. For maximum individual instruction, classes are limited to 16 students.
Young Adult Basics
The Young Adult "On Her Own" Basics course is a 20-hour course designed specifically for women 16 to 22 years old. Similar to the Adult Women's course,
we cover awareness, boundary setting, and physical self-defense, but with an emphasis on problems that young women
often encounter as they begin to face the world on their own.
Cost: $395. Classes are limited to 16 students
We are committed to making our classes available to all women, regardless of ability to pay. For information on
