The Teen "Kick Like a Girl" Self-Defense course is designed specifically for teen girls ages 12-16, this ten hour self-defense course focuses on preventing stranger and dating violence, including sexual assault. This course gives students the opportunity to practice full-force on a "mock assailant" instructor in a well-padded suit. Practicing these full-force self-defense techniques, taught by a female instructor, allows our students to experience the benefits of "muscle memory" - their bodies will remember the techniques in a crisis situation. Students will gain the confidence and skills needed to feel safer in the world.
This course meets on multiple dates - Saturday, August 25th (3pm-8pm) and Sunday, August 26th (11am-4pm) - please make sure you are available to attend every session.
Before the end of the year, Impact will be changing its class pricing structure to reflect increasing costs to continue Impact's work. Courses already posted to the website will change to reflect the increased priced, but registration fees already paid will be honored. This rise in course fees will help Impact Bay Area remain a sustainable, viable organization and continue to provide our services in actively promoting safety and empowerment throughout the Bay Area.
