Private Classes

Thank you for your interest in hosting a private Impact class for your group or community. We would be happy to send you more information if you provide your phone or email at the bottom of this page.

Impact provides private self-defense classes to individuals, organizations, businesses and families. We teach our Basics, Teen, Kids, Boundary Workshop and Intro classes, and give demonstrations and safety talks in a variety of settings. Private classes are tailored specifically for your needs, so if you don't see what you're looking for in the offerings below, just let us know and it's likely we can arrange what you need. Full-Force Classes

Impact Self-Defense Adult Basics Course

  • 20 training hours including full-force practice against a padded assailant
  • 3-15 participants: women, girls, men or all-gender, ages 11 and up
  • Includes a suited instructor, a whistle instructor and individualized verbal & physical defense scenarios for each student. 

Young Adult "On Her Own" Self-Defense Course

  • This course is designed for young women ages 16-22
  • 20 training hours including full-force practice against a padded assailant
  • 10-15 participants
  • Includes a suited instructor, a whistle instructor and individualized verbal & physical defense scenarios for each student.

Teen "Kick Like a Girl" Self-Defense Course

  • This course is designed for teen girls ages 12-15
  • 8-10 training hours (1-2 day formats)
  • 10-15 participants
  • Includes a suited instructor, a whistle instructor and individualized verbal & physical defense scenarios for each student.


Personal Safety Classes

Introduction to Full Force, Padded Assailant Self-Defense

  • 2-4 training hours including full force practice against a padded assailant
  • 2-15 participants: women, girls, men or all gender, ages 11 and up
  • Includes a suited instructor, a whistle instructor and individualized verbal & physical defense scenarios for each student.

Introduction to Personal/Street Safety Course

  • 2-3 training hours
  • 2-20+ participants: women, girls or co-ed; ages 11 and up
  • Includes a whistle instructor.  There are no physical fights in this course.

Kids Personal Safety

  • We teach preschoolers (ages 3-5), young children (ages 6-8), and pre-teens (9-11)
  • 2 training hours
  • 10-16 participants
  • A parent or adult guardian must accompany each child.  
  • Includes a whistle instructor.  There are no physical fights in this course.

Boundary-Setting, Assertiveness & Bystander Intervention Workshop

  • This course focuses on verbal boundary-setting and responding to violence as a bystander.
  • Ages 12 and up
  • 4 training hours
  • 6-40 participants: women, girls or co-ed
  • There are no physical fights in this course.
