The IMPACT Bay Area Personal Safety Contest (September 2015)

TIMING: The IMPACT Bay Area Personal Safety Contest is presented by IMPACT Bay Area. The Contest begins at 12:00:01 AM Pacific Time on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 and ends at 11:59:59 PM ET on Thursday, October 15, 2015.
ELIGIBILITY: The Contest is open to legal residents of the 48 contiguous United States and the District of Columbia, age 18 or older at time of entry (with the exception: minors ages 15-17 allowed entry if the parent/adult legal guardian of the minor has provided Entrant express consent to the entry and its submission into this Contest). Void in AK, HI, outside the U.S., in Puerto Rico, and wherever else prohibited by law. Employees of the Sponsor, Contest Administrator and each of their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies (collectively, “Contest Entities”), and the immediate family members of, and/or those living in the same household of each, are not eligible to enter or win. Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. By participating in the Contest each entrant (the “Entrant”) unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and abide by these ("Official Rules").
WINNER: At least one (more if space permits) entrant will win a seat in the 3-hour Intro to Full-Force Self-Defense Class, to be held in San Francisco, California on October 24th, 2015. Transport to and from class is not provided. Prize is transferable to an eligible person as deemed by eligibility rules. Winner is responsible for all costs of transportation or other incidental costs associated with participating in the class.
HOW TO ENTER: There are two (2) ways to enter:
Method #2. Twitter Entry. 1) Follow IMPACT Bay Area on Twitter at http://twitter.com/ImpactBayArea (@IMPACTBayArea); 3) Post a Tweet that includes ‘@IMPACTBayArea’, the hash tag ‘#Safety4Me, and the completed sentence: “Personal safety feels like ______” Message & data rates may apply. Any Tweet that includes the hashtag #Safety4Me and the completed sentence as defined above and is posted prior to the start of or after the end of the Entry Period will not be eligible for the Contest. If a Tweet is more than one post in length it will be considered as one entry with the first post considered the entry. Entrant’s Twitter settings must be public. Tweets from private Twitter accounts will not be eligible. The decisions of Sponsor are final and binding on all matters relating to determining eligibility of Tweets. Entrant must continue to follow @IMPACTBayArea through August 31, 2015 in order to be notified in the event he/she is a potential winner. By submitting a Twitter Entry, Entrants agree to Twitter’s Terms of Service. Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Twitter, Inc.
The Sponsor will review all submitted Facebook Entries and Twitter Entries (herein, each is collectively referred to as an “Entry”) and reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to reject, disqualify and/or remove any Entry that violates these Official Rules without any notification or warning. Sponsor reserves the right to post Tweets/Facebook captions created in connection with the Contest. Sponsor does not guarantee the posting of any Entry. Multiple entrants are not permitted to share the same email address or account. Any attempt by any entrant to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations and logins, or any other methods will void that entrant’s entries and that entrant will be disqualified. Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification. In the event of a dispute as to any entry, the authorized account holder of the email address used to register will be deemed to be the entrant. The “authorized account holder” is the natural person assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address. Each potential winner may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder.
ENTRIES POSTED TO THE WEBSITE ARE THE VIEWS/OPINIONS OF THE INDIVIDUAL ENTRANT AND DO NOT REFLECT THE VIEWS OF SPONSOR IN ANY MANNER.
All Entries must comply with the following minimum guidelines to be eligible:
Cannot be profane, pornographic, sexually explicit or suggestive or contain nudity or similar or dissimilar inappropriate material or activities. Cannot be violent or promote firearms/weapons. Cannot promote alcohol, illegal or dangerous drugs or tobacco. Cannot defame or misrepresent people, brands, products or companies, including but not limited to the Sponsor’s brand, products and services. Cannot be obscene or offensive, endorse any form of hate or hate group or be derogatory to any sexual, ethic, racial, gender, religious, professional or age group. Cannot depict illegal, dangerous or unsafe activity and cannot itself be in violation of any law. Cannot include images or references to minors unless the parent/adult legal guardian of the minor has provided Entrant express consent to the entry and its submission into this Contest; Sponsor reserves the right to require written evidence of such consent.
By participating, Entrant grants Sponsor permission to use his/her name and caption for future advertising and publicity purposes in connection with the Contest in any and all media without additional compensation, notification or permission. By entering this Contest, Entrant grants Sponsor the right to edit, adapt, and publish any or all Entries and to use these Entries in any media form or in any manner without attribution or further compensation.
JUDGING: All eligible Entries received during the Contest Entry Phase will be judged by the Sponsor. Judging will be conducted based on the Contest Schedule based on the following judging criteria:
a) Originality (25%)
b) Composition (25%)
c) Overall Impact (50%)
WINNER DETERMINATION: The Entry that receives the highest score during the Entry Period will be deemed the potential prize winner. In the unlikely event of a tie, the tied entrant with the highest score in Criterion A. Originality will be deemed the potential winner.
PRIZE/APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE (“ARV”):
Grand Prize: One seat in October 24, 2015 Introduction to Full Force Self-Defense class, $75 value. Prize not redeemable for cash. Value of the prize is transferable to another class at the discretion of the sponsor.
