(10 hours, $300)
IMPACT Bay Area's 10 hour Teen Course is designed specifically for girls ages 12-16. This course focuses on preventing stranger and peer violence, empowering students to understand, respect and defend their own boundaries. This course gives students the opportunity to practice verbal boundary-setting with strangers as well as people they know, and teaches a range of physical self-defense skills practiced "full force" in realistic and safe scenarios against a mock assailant, our highly trained IMPACT Instructors in well-padded suits. This method of teaching provides the benefits of "muscle memory" - students remember the effective and accessible techniques in a crisis situation. Students will gain the confidence and skills needed to feel safer in the world. Classes are limited to 16. Please do not register your child unless they are 12 years of age or older. If you are interested in your child taking our course and they are under 12 years of age, contact us firstname.lastname@example.org.
