IMPACT's Young Adult Basics Course is designed specifically for women ages 16-22, and focuses on verbal and physical self-defense skills against stranger and acquaintance violence, including substantial additional training beyond our Teen "Kick Like a Girl" Course. This course addresses issues commonly faced by young women entering the world on their own, and gives students the opportunity to practice their skills in realistic scenarios against the "mock assailant" - IMPACT instructors in well-padded suits. Supported by the female Lead Instructor and cheered on by the rest of their class, students experience the benefits of muscle memory through fighting full force, under adrenaline- their bodies will remember the techniques we teach in a crisis situation. Students learn to honor and set their own boundaries, and gain the confidence and skills needed to walk through the world with an increased level of safety.

Students MUST BE AT LEAST 16 YEARS OLD on the first day of class. This course is open to all those woman-identified.

NEXT COURSE COMING UP JULY 14, 21 & 22 in PALO ALTO.
