IMPACT teaches effective boundary setting and empowerment self-defense skills to prevent violence and create safer communities. Our classes are tailored to meet the needs of people of different ages, genders, and identities. We train students to fight full-force, under adrenaline, against a padded mock assailant to ingrain our techniques into muscle memory. In-Person & Online

Choose a class format that feels safe for you. IMPACT Bay Area continuously monitors public health guidelines at the national, state, and local level and updates our COVID-19 Policies accordingly. Proof of primary vaccination and at least one booster is currently required for all in-person classes.

Sliding Scale

IMPACT is committed to equitable access to self-defense training. Our classes are offered on a sliding scale basis, with no one turned away for lack of funds (click here for more info). To keep our classes open and accessible to all, we ask that you contribute at the highest level you can. You can also make a tax-deductible donation to support others taking a class.
