This two-hour workshop addresses issues commonly faced by young adults exploring greater independence, and gives students the opportunity to practice their skills in realistic scenarios against a mock assailant. This workshop focuses on personal safety skills as well as verbal self-defense strategies to address situations that may arise in everyday life, including boundary setting to prevent stranger and acquaintance violence. Students learn to honor their own intuition, set and defend their boundaries, and gain increased confidence and safety skills. This class is open to participants of all genders ages 16-22.
