Give Local on #GivingTuesday

Hi Everyone!

As 2014 draws to a close, the students, volunteers, and instructors at Impact Bay Area are sharing our powerful stories in a Giving Tuesday campaign in order to continue our mission to teach effective boundary setting, personal safety, and physical self-defense skills throughout the bay area. Our goal? To raise $20,000 this holiday season.

#GivingTuesday is a movement to create a national giving-day to kick off the giving season on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday. This year Giving Tuesday falls on December 3, 2013.

Impact Bay Area is a small, grassroots nonprofit - we're lean and mean and in order to grow and offer more classes to our community we need to meet our goal. Can you help our community by giving locally this Giving Tuesday?

Impact Bay Area believes that safety should be a right and not a privilege. Next year we are planning to train new instructors, develop classes geared toward under-served communities, and offer scholarships and financial aid packages to more students than ever. But we can't do it without your support.

Our board members, grads, and scholarship recipients have banded together to offer their stories and voices to this Giving Tuesday campaign, to tell you in their own words why the work we do matters so much. We hope you'll support us too!
