I found IMPACT like many people do – through a friend.  She urged me for months to take a class, saying that it would be life changing.  When I took the Basics course in 2016, I finally understood what she meant. IMPACT taught me that I am powerful and strong.  To this day, the skills I learned help me feel safe and confident, and it also has strengthened my ability to set healthy boundaries in my professional and personal life.  This is something that I don’t take for granted. Although my Basics class was almost three years ago, I still hear my classmates cheering me on when I’m in tough situations.  It’s a powerful feeling. It is this experience that has fueled my commitment to support IMPACT in reaching more people because I think everyone deserves to feel this way.
