I found IMPACT the same way many others do – through a good friend who encouraged me to take a class and said that it would change my life. When I took Women's Basics in 2016, I understood what she meant. IMPACT helped me feel more confident walking around the city and empowered me to develop healthy boundaries – something that I’ve always struggled with in my life.

IMPACT taught me that I am powerful and strong. In myself and in my classmates, I saw that our bodies are capable of defending ourselves and our minds are the source of an inner strength that was always there. After class, I knew I needed to get involved with IMPACT and be part of this incredible community.

With what continues to happen in our country, supporting IMPACT is my way of contributing to the greater good. Serving on IMPACT’s Board of Directors for the past two years, I’ve had the privilege of giving my time and energy to an organization that I truly believe in. And I am excited to announce I will be stepping into the Board Chair role in 2019. I hope to support IMPACT’s leadership and strategy so that we can empower more people to be their courageous selves.  

Our work is only possible because of the generosity of our supporters – YOU make it possible for us to offer our life-changing classes to as many people as possible in our community. Individual donors like you allowed us to start training five new suited instructors in order to extend our reach and offer more classes. In addition, with your support this year, we also held an Alumni Reunion to bring together and celebrate our strong, resilient community.
